
Charisma Carpenter who is an American actor, is recognized for her character of Cordelia Chase on the cult TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. Carpenter was also an experienced cheerleader, and was trained as a ballerina but she found herself an actor accidentally. Carpenter was discovered by a Los Angeles commercial agent while waiting tables. Within a few years, Carpenter rose quickly from acting as a model to the lead role in one of the nation's most adored fiction dramas. Carpenter was a regular 'Cordelia"Cordelia" character for a long time. Also, she appeared briefly in popular teen shows like "Miss Match," "Charmed as well as 'Veronica Mars'. Her reality series on Investigation Discovery' 'Surviving Evil was originally titled 'I Survived Evil', shocked many people. Carpenter's harrowing account of being attacked and brutally raped by a serial killer at the age of 21 was highlighted on the show. This exposed a side to Carpenter that viewers did not realize. In 1991, Carpenter and her two companions were attacked by 29-year old policeman Henry Hubbard Jr. at Torrey Pines State Beach in San Diego. Hubbard took Carpenter at gunpoint and ordered her to tie both her companions. Hubbard kept Carpenter in a gun-point position, and instructed her to tie her up. Hubbard was able to not comply with his demands. Hubbard gave her plenty of time for her friends to confront Hubbard. Hubbard and her friends both received superficial gunshot wounds. Hubbard was eventually taken into custody. Carpenter helped to preserve a vital piece of evidence and a flashlight issued by the police. This helped secure the sentence of 56 years for the serial offender.
